Al Shaine, MBA

President, Genesis Physician Services
Al Shaine serves as President of GPS, having joined the organization as Chief Operating Officer in 2019.  He collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to carry out GPS's mission of delivering the highest quality care in the post-acute and long-term care settings. Prior to joining GPS, Al served as a Regional Vice President for Privia Health, where he managed operations across the Mid-Atlantic region and implemented strategies to drive ACO performance. Before Privia, Al served as a Senior Director with The Advisory Board Company, where he advised health systems in network development strategy and, later, revenue cycle performance improvement.

Al holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a Bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.

Flora Petillo, MSN, CRNP, CWS

Chief Operating Officer
Flora Petillo, MSN, CRNP, CWS leads operations and clinical initiatives as the Chief Operating Officer of Genesis Physician Services. Flora is a board-certified Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with experience as a provider in post-acute care, primary care and pain management.  She is also a Certified Wound Specialist and a member of the American Academy of Wound Management.  Prior to re-joining Genesis in 2010, Flora co-founded On-Site Specialty Care, a successful nurse practitioner consultation service.

Flora received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.

John F. Loome, MD

Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, Southern Area
Dr. John Loome is Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs for the Southern Area of Genesis HealthCare Corporation.  He has clinical oversight responsibility for about 70 skilled nursing facilities in 6 states for Genesis Physician Services.  Dr. Loome has had several appointments including Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Maryland School of Medicine.Dr. Loome received his MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Loome also completed a Fellowship inGeriatric Medicine/Gerontology from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.Dr. Loome is a member of various organizations including the American College of Physicians, The American Medical Directors Association, and The American Geriatrics Society. Dr. Loome has presented on various topics related to Geriatric Medicine for Baylor College of Medicine, Johns HopkinsUniversity School of Medicine, the American Geriatric Society, the AmericanMedical Association and has coauthored a book chapter on Geriatric Assessment.

Dr. Carolyn Blackman

Sr. Vice President of Medical Affairs
Dr. Blackman is board certified in internal medicine. She served as a hospitalist for ten years at Kent County Hospital, and before that as a primary care provider with the University Medical Foundation concentrating in geriatric care. She gained palliative care experience while working in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice Unit. Dr. Blackman is a graduate of the Brown University Medical School and the Brown University General Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Molly Langford, MSN, CRNP

Vice President of Clinical Practice
Molly Langford, MSN, CRNP leads clinical initiatives that support the GPS APP organization in achieving success in key quality metrics and providing compassionate and quality patient care.  Molly received both her BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a board certified Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years’ experience as a provider in post acute and long term care and palliative care.

Prior to joining GPS in 2010, Molly worked as a Nurse Practitioner for the Division of Geriatrics at Abington Memorial Hospital. She is currently the President of the Pennsylvania Society for Post Acute and Long Term Care, and  is a member of the education committee for the Pennsylvania Long Term Care Education Network, the Jewish Health Care Federations Residential Living Full Court Press committee, and the Pennsylvania POLST education committee.

Denise Spataro

Vice President of Performance Management
As Vice President of Performance Management, Denise oversees the contracting, training, and on-going performance evaluation of GPS providers. Collaborating closely with clinical, operations and HR leaders, she ensures execution on organizational goals and objectives.

Denise began her career in long term care as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She held positions in addiction medicine and worked in several prominent Boston hospitals. Denise attended the University of Southern Maine, graduating with a degree in Communication and Political Science.
